Role purpose
Support the design, implementation, optimization, and ongoing management of sanctions screening systems and technology solutions.
The systems detect sanctioned individuals, entities, vessels, countries, and prohibited activities.
Key responsibilities
- Configure and maintain platforms such as FircoSoft, LexisNexis Risk Solutions, Accuity, Actimize, and Pelican.
- Manage sanctions watchlists, filtering rules, matching algorithms, and system parameters.
- Analyze false positives and recommend tuning improvements.
- Support screening workflows for customers, payments, trade finance, and securities transactions.
- Analyze data and test system enhancements and model changes.
- Investigate system issues and coordinate remediation activities.
- Perform user acceptance testing and regression testing.
- Develop management information, dashboards, and screening metrics.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
- Collaborate with Compliance, Technology, Operations, and Risk teams.
Required qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Technology, Data Analytics, Compliance, or a related field.
- Proven experience with sanctions screening platforms and payment screening solutions.
- Deep knowledge of OFAC, UN, UK HMT, EU, and other international sanctions regimes.
- Strong understanding of SWIFT messages, payment processing, and customer screening workflows.
- Hands-on SQL, data analysis, reporting, and system testing experience.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and clear understanding of sanctions screening methods and fuzzy matching logic.
Preferred qualifications
- CAMS, CGSS, ICA, or equivalent professional certification is preferred.
- AML/KYC or broader financial crime systems experience is preferred.
- Project management or business analysis experience is preferred.

Reduce false-positive rates and implement sanctions list updates on time.
Optimize system availability and performance.
Achieve successful audit and regulatory outcomes and maintain high-quality screening and alert management.
