Role overview

Responsibilities

• Contribute to Procurement Agent and System AI Harness feature design, implementation, and validation with mentor guidance.
• Develop and maintain services, business logic, and data flows with attention to code quality and reliability.
• Explore agent planning, tool use, memory, and multi-step reasoning and help build them into procurement features.
• Prototype emerging AI techniques and help translate promising ideas into product capabilities.
• Work with product managers, designers, and engineers to deliver complete solutions.

Minimum qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a relevant bachelor's, master's, or PhD program with a solid academic record.
• Available for a continuous internship, ideally 3 months or more, and at least 3 days per week.
• Solid foundation in data structures, algorithms, and software engineering fundamentals.
• Proficient in at least one of Golang, Java, or Python, with good coding habits.
• Strong logical thinking, learning, independent thinking, and problem-decomposition skills; interested in frontier AI.

Preferred qualifications

• AI, machine learning, or LLM coursework, research, or personal projects are preferred.
• Hands-on ownership of a non-trivial system through an internship, lab, open-source, or personal project is a plus, not required.
• Exposure to LLM systems, prompt engineering, RAG, tool/function calling, or agent orchestration is preferred.
• AI applications, agent demos, developer tools, competitions, publications, and strong open-source contributions are preferred.
