Bookkeep and monitor accounting transactions.
Accounts payable
- Supervise supplier invoice processing and ensure accurate three-way matching.
- Verify invoices for tax and policy compliance; oversee timely vendor payments and manage vendor inquiries.
- Monitor accruals and prepayments and ensure expenses align with accounting periods.
- Reconcile the accounts payable sub-ledger with vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
Accounts receivable
- Oversee accurate customer invoicing in accordance with contracts.
- Evaluate customer creditworthiness and manage receivables to minimize bad debt.
- Implement collection procedures, resolve overdue payments, reconcile customer accounts, and analyze aging reports.
Assets and general ledger
- Manage fixed-asset accounting, including acquisition, depreciation, and disposal; track and periodically verify company assets.
- Ensure compliance with regulations and help prevent inventory shrinkage.
- Oversee accurate general ledger transaction recording and reconcile balance-sheet accounts.
Financial reporting and improvement
- Prepare financial statements under IFRS and assist with external audits.
- Support budget preparation, monitor financial performance, and identify risks.
- Improve accounting processes for efficiency and compliance with local regulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Finance.
- 2 to 4 years of work experience.
- Technical and functional competencies include accounting methods, accounting principles, and accounting systems.
Role accountabilities
Meet operational and development targets on schedule and use resources effectively within cost and time objectives.
Provide periodic reports detailing planned tasks, execution, and deviations; resolve related problems and escalate complex issues.
Support quality controls and process specifications, coordinate written systems and procedures, and seek automation opportunities.
Comply with relevant policies, procedures, work instructions, and health, safety, environmental, and quality controls.
