Position overview

Accounting and finance duties

• Record transactions and maintain ledgers, schedules, invoices, and supporting documentation.
• Process supplier invoices, issue customer invoices, monitor outstanding balances, and record receipts and payments.
• Assist with bank, payment, and online transaction reconciliations; investigate unmatched or unusual items.
• Record expenses, review expense claims, maintain petty cash records where applicable, and organize confidential finance documents.
• Maintain VAT records and support tax, audit, banking, payment gateway, and compliance documentation under supervision.
• Assist with monthly close, prepare basic finance reports and Excel schedules, and support management and external finance providers.

Core skills and systems

• Core areas include bookkeeping, accounts payable and receivable, invoicing, bank and payment reconciliation, expense management, VAT support, financial documentation, data entry, record keeping, and basic reporting.
• Microsoft Excel skills are required; Google Sheets and accounting software are also listed.
• QuickBooks, Xero, Zoho Books, Sage, Tally, Odoo, SAP, and Oracle are examples of accounting systems; specific software experience is advantageous, not mandatory.

Qualifications and candidate profile

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in accounting, finance, commerce, business administration, or a related field; fresh graduates are welcome.
• 0–2 years of experience and basic knowledge of accounting principles, debit and credit, journals, ledgers, accounts payable and receivable, and bank reconciliation.
• Good Microsoft Excel skills and good written and spoken English.
• ACCA, CMA, AAT, CA, CPA, or another accounting qualification in progress or completed is advantageous.
• The candidate profile emphasizes accuracy, organization, trustworthiness, confidentiality, learning, communication, meeting deadlines, and independent and team work.

Pay

• Pay starts at AED 2,000 per month; the posting also mentions performance-based incentives.
