The role

Modeling and design production

• Create coordinated airport infrastructure models covering runways, taxiways, utilities, drainage, grading, and specialist equipment.
• Build terrain, corridor, and utility models from surveys, GIS data, point clouds, and engineering specifications.
• Produce construction plans, sections, profiles, schedules, and quantity take-offs traceable to the master model.
• Maintain object libraries, families, templates, and naming conventions; apply geometry, classification, and asset data requirements from the BIM Execution Plan.

Coordination and information management

• Manage discipline models in the Common Data Environment and integrate them into federated systems.
• Lead clash detection, clearance checks, and model health reviews; work with engineers to verify design intent and resolve inconsistencies.
• Support 4D planning, constructability assessments, logistics, and facility asset handover.

Visualization and AI-assisted work

• Produce renderings, animations, walkthroughs, and phasing sequences; streamline models for real-time visualization while preserving design geometry and intent.
• Use approved AI and scripting tools for model generation, parametric studies, rendering, and data verification; validate outputs against approved engineering inputs.
• Public or unapproved AI platforms are prohibited; follow data protection, intellectual property, and cybersecurity rules.

Quality, safety, and delivery

• Check geometry, quantities, and standards compliance before final issue through self-checks and peer reviews.
• Meet delivery schedules, flag constraints early, and support construction-stage queries or as-built updates.
• Follow company and client health, safety, environmental, and document-control procedures.

Qualifications and experience

• Diploma, higher diploma, or bachelor's degree in civil engineering, architecture, geomatics, BIM, drafting, or a related technical discipline.
• At least five years of relevant 3D/BIM modeling experience; airport, transportation, or major infrastructure experience is preferred.
• Advanced practical capability in AutoCAD Civil 3D and Revit; working knowledge of Navisworks Manage, Autodesk Construction Cloud/BIM 360, and at least one visualization platform is required.
• Experience in multidisciplinary model federation, clash detection, issue management, quantity extraction, and model-based design reviews.
• Practical knowledge of ISO 19650, BIM Execution Plans, Common Data Environments, information conventions, model approval workflows, and information security.

Advantageous experience

• Dynamo, Python, visual scripting, parametric design, automated checking, point-cloud processing, or GIS integration is advantageous.
• Knowledge of airport geometry, operational constraints, safeguarded zones, airside interfaces, and equipment such as PCA, GPU, VDGS, and PBB is advantageous.
