The ideal candidate has strong animation fundamentals, timing and movement judgment, and adaptability to different styles and technical requirements.
Responsibilities
- Create 2D character, effects, UI, and motion-graphics animation.
- Create 3D animation involving keyframing, blocking, rough passes, polish, camera work, and lip sync.
- Translate storyboards, animatics, scripts, and briefs into engaging animation.
- Maintain consistent style, quality, and continuity across projects.
- Collaborate with art directors, designers, developers, and producers; iterate on feedback from leads and clients.
- Optimize assets for the applicable game engine, broadcast, web, mobile, film, or other pipeline.
- Meet deadlines and maintain organized files, versions, and animation libraries.
- Mentoring junior animators and improving pipelines are optional contributions.
Requirements
- Two or more years of professional animation experience or an exceptional demo reel.
- Proficiency in at least one 2D tool and one 3D tool.
- 2D tool examples: Toon Boom Harmony, TVPaint, Adobe Animate, After Effects, Spine, or Clip Studio Paint.
- 3D tool examples: Maya, Blender, 3ds Max, Cinema 4D, Unreal Engine, Unity, or MotionBuilder.
- Strong animation principles, body mechanics, anatomy, posing, and character acting.
- Ability to work in realistic and stylized or cartoon styles; familiarity with production pipelines and collaborative workflows.
- Strong communication and constructive-feedback skills.
- Portfolio or demo reel showing relevant 2D and/or 3D work.
Pay
- Pay starts at QAR 1.00 per month.
