Workshop Manager - Aviation role in Abu Dhabi, UAE, leading intermediate-level maintenance operations for rotary- and fixed-wing aircraft.
The manager coordinates across departments to support operational readiness and compliance with regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
- Manage personnel, equipment, and facilities involved in aircraft workshop maintenance.
- Develop operating procedures aligned with industry and regulatory standards, and ensure compliance with OEM, military, and local safety directives and maintenance manuals.
- Supervise aircraft maintenance inspections, repairs, and technical assessments.
- Monitor workshop performance and maintenance trends, and drive continuous improvement.
- Coordinate parts, tools, and equipment requirements with logistics teams; maintain accountability for inventory and tooling.
- Oversee reporting, documentation, and communication with senior management.
- Identify training gaps, recommend corrective actions, and prepare weekly and monthly operational status and performance reports.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Associate Degree in Aviation or Engineering; FAA A&P or equivalent is preferred.
- At least 15 years of aviation maintenance experience, including at least 7 years in management roles.
- Experience with both rotary- and fixed-wing platforms is preferred.
- Familiarity with TAMMS or similar maintenance management systems.
- Strong knowledge of military or regulated aviation environments.
- Excellent communication and team leadership skills; competency with Microsoft Office and maintenance tracking systems.
