Performs scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance and reports to the supervisor on aircraft, facility, tool, equipment, and administrative requirements.
Qualifications and experience
- Requires an EASA or GCAA Airframe and Powerplant Certificate or industry equivalent.
- Requires a high school diploma or graduation from a military or commercial aircraft maintenance school or course.
- Requires type-rated certification and completed AS350 or AS550 type training.
- Requires at least 8 years of aviation maintenance experience, including at least 5 years as a mechanic on the aircraft type.
- Must be able to attain a UAE driving license and read, write, and understand English.
- Requires thorough knowledge of helicopter maintenance tools, equipment, and ground support equipment.
Duties and responsibilities
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance, including inspection, servicing, and repair.
- Help ensure aircraft and equipment remain mission-ready, following technical publications and local procedures.
- Guide and train customer trainees on maintenance tasks.
- Complete maintenance forms, records, and documentation.
- May perform crew duties, maintenance test flights, operational checks, or diagnostic equipment operation when requested and subject to applicable requirements.
- Assist the maintenance supervisor and perform other assigned duties.
Work and reporting
Has no supervisory responsibility and reports to a supervisor.
Communicates and works collaboratively with other departments and sets a positive example.
