Role overview

Essential requirements

• At least 10 years of hands-on Adour Mk871 engine maintenance, overhaul and testing experience.
• Practical overhaul experience covering engine/module removal and installation, disassembly, assembly and module-level maintenance.
• Experience with inspection, dimensional checks, component identification, defect assessment, repair and replacement.
• Experience with engine build-up, final assembly, testing, performance evaluation, fault finding and post-overhaul rectification.
• Knowledge of Adour Mk871 modular engine configuration and systems.
• Ability to follow Rolls-Royce technical publications, manuals, approved procedures and engineering instructions.
• Experience interpreting technical drawings, inspection requirements and overhaul documentation.
• Understanding of aviation safety, quality control, configuration control and airworthiness requirements.
• Ability to document maintenance, inspection, overhaul and testing accurately; strong troubleshooting and technical problem-solving skills.

Desirable experience and qualifications

• Engine test-cell operations and test-result analysis are highly desirable.
• Relevant aircraft engine maintenance qualifications, licenses or certifications are an advantage.
• Recent, demonstrable hands-on Adour Mk871 experience is prioritized; experience limited to other aircraft engines may not be suitable.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, overhaul and test Rolls-Royce Adour Mk871 engines.
• Remove and install engines and modules; disassemble and assemble engine components.
• Conduct detailed inspections, dimensional checks, component identification and defect assessment.
• Repair or replace serviceable and unserviceable components and perform module-level maintenance.
• Build up and assemble engines, then conduct engine testing and performance evaluation.
• Troubleshoot faults and carry out post-overhaul inspection and rectification.
• Document maintenance, inspection, overhaul and testing activities accurately.
