Performs scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance and reports to the Supervisor on aircraft, facility, tool, equipment, and administrative matters.
Qualifications and experience
- EASA or GCAA Airframe and Powerplant Certificate, or an industry equivalent.
- High school diploma or graduation from a military or commercial aircraft maintenance school or course.
- Must hold a type rating and have completed AS350 or AS550 type training.
- At least 8 years of aviation maintenance experience and at least 5 years as an avionics technician on the aircraft type.
- Thorough knowledge of common and special tools, test equipment, and aviation ground support equipment used in aircraft maintenance.
- Must be able to attain a UAE driving license.
- Must be able to read, write, and understand English.
Duties and responsibilities
- Assist the maintenance supervisor in accomplishing the company's mission.
- Inspect, service, and repair aircraft and equipment according to technical publications and local policies and procedures.
- Help ensure aircraft and equipment remain in a high state of mission readiness.
- Provide guidance and on-the-job training to customer trainees to support their maintenance capability.
- Complete forms, records, and documents for aircraft maintenance activities according to applicable procedures.
- May perform rated or non-rated crew duties, including maintenance test flights, maintenance operational checks, and diagnostic equipment operation, subject to flight physical and assignment.
Work expectations
Work well with other departments, communicate effectively, support teamwork, and lead by example.
No supervisory responsibility; reports to a Supervisor.
Other job-related duties may be assigned by a Supervisor or Team Lead.
