Role overview

Warehouse operations

• Oversees receiving, warehousing, distribution and maintenance operations.
• Designs and implements efficient warehouse layouts to optimize space utilization.
• Develops, coordinates and enforces operational policies and procedures.
• Ensures compliance with warehousing, handling and shipping regulations.
• Upholds health, safety, hygiene and security standards within the warehouse.
• Manages stock control and reconciles inventory accurately with the data storage system.
• Contributes to preparation of the annual budget.
• Liaises with clients, suppliers and transport companies to support smooth operations.

Team and reporting

• Plans work schedules, assigns tasks and evaluates employee performance.
• Recruits, selects, onboards, coaches and motivates employees.
• Produces regular reports and statistics, including inbound/outbound status and dead-stock reports.
• Gathers feedback and monitors service quality.

Qualifications and experience

• Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in warehouse management, logistics or supply chain management, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
• Proficiency in warehouse management systems and software such as ERP, SAP or 1C, and proficiency with Excel.
• Strong understanding of inventory management and stock control procedures; experience handling perishable goods.
• Knowledge of health, safety and security regulations within a warehouse environment.
• Leadership and team-management ability, including experience handling 25 to 50 warehouse workers.
• Proven ability to develop, monitor and achieve KPIs for warehouse efficiency, accuracy and safety.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, effective communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
