An established, growing healthcare group seeks an experienced Nursing Manager to lead perioperative services at a flagship hospital.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the Operating Theatre and Recovery Unit and ensure safe, high-quality, patient-centered perioperative nursing care.
- Manage theatre operations, scheduling, staffing, and resources to optimize efficiency and patient flow.
- Coordinate surgical services with surgeons, anaesthetists, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Drive regulatory, accreditation, infection control, and patient safety compliance; lead quality improvement and monitor performance.
- Develop, mentor, and evaluate nursing staff; oversee inventory, equipment readiness, and cost-effective resource use.
- Manage emergency, elective, and day surgery services effectively.
Candidate requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing; a Master’s degree is preferred.
- Valid Registered Nurse license and eligibility for healthcare authority licensing in the UAE.
- At least 8 years of nursing experience, including 5 years in Operating Theatre or Perioperative Services.
- At least 3 years in a managerial or leadership role within an acute-care hospital.
- Strong knowledge of theatre management, perioperative nursing standards, patient safety, and quality improvement.
- Experience with JCI or equivalent accreditation standards.
- Ability to lead large multidisciplinary teams in a fast-paced surgical environment; strong leadership, communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
