A private healthcare group seeks a patient-focused radiographer for its Diagnostic Imaging team.
The role performs diagnostic imaging examinations while supporting patient care, radiation safety, and clinical standards.
Key responsibilities
- Perform imaging procedures according to physician requests and departmental protocols; operate X-ray, fluoroscopy, mobile X-ray, and other modalities as required.
- Optimize image quality while following radiation-safety standards; prepare and position patients and verify identity and examination requirements.
- Maintain patient records and imaging documentation in hospital information systems.
- Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver timely diagnostic services.
- Report equipment malfunctions and follow maintenance and quality-control procedures.
- Participate in quality improvement, patient safety, and accreditation initiatives; provide compassionate care and clear patient instructions.
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Medical Imaging, Radiography, or equivalent recognized qualification.
- Valid radiographer license or eligibility for Abu Dhabi DOH licensing.
- 2–5 years of experience in a hospital or diagnostic imaging setting.
- Strong knowledge of radiographic techniques, radiation safety, and patient positioning; experience with digital radiography and PACS/RIS.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment, and commitment to patient care and professional standards.
Preferred qualifications
- Multispecialty hospital experience is preferred.
- CT, MRI, mammography, or interventional radiology cross-training or experience is advantageous.
- Current BLS certification is preferred.
