Role and department

Guest service and restaurant operations

• Welcome guests, escort them to tables, present menus, and take accurate food and beverage orders.
• Communicate special requests and dietary requirements to the kitchen; serve promptly and maintain knowledge of menus, specials, promotions, ingredients, and beverages.
• Serve breakfast, lunch, dinner, and buffet operations as applicable; assist with buffet selections, recommendations, and dining enquiries.
• Monitor guest satisfaction, respond courteously, and report complaints; present bills and process payments according to hotel procedures.
• Coordinate with kitchen, stewarding, and Food & Beverage colleagues for smooth operations.

Restaurant setup and maintenance

• Prepare the restaurant, tables, service stations, and buffet area; set tables to hotel standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining areas, stations, cutlery, crockery, and glassware; clear and reset tables promptly.
• Replenish service items and coordinate buffet replenishment; report damaged equipment, maintenance issues, and shortages.

Hygiene, teamwork, and standards

• Follow hygiene, food safety, sanitation, grooming, HACCP, Dubai Municipality food safety, health, safety, fire, and emergency procedures.
• Handle and store food and beverage items according to procedures; promptly report accidents, hazards, guest incidents, or unsafe practices.
• Deliver genuine, personalized service; support colleagues during peak periods and assist with special events, group bookings, and other Food & Beverage operations.
• Attend briefings, training, and staff meetings; follow hotel policies, SOPs, and management instructions.

Qualifications and experience

• High school certificate or equivalent; a hospitality qualification is an advantage.
• Previous waiter/waitress experience in a hotel, restaurant, or comparable establishment is preferred.
• All-day dining, buffet, and à la carte experience is an advantage.
• Good verbal communication and guest-service skills in English; additional languages are an advantage.
• Basic knowledge of food safety, restaurant service etiquette, and POS systems.
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays.

Pay

• AED 1,200 per month.
