Hands-on production role installing and integrating equipment in military vehicles.
Work involves practical installation tasks inside vehicles, including confined spaces.
Key responsibilities
- Install and route vehicle cabling according to wiring diagrams and installation drawings.
- Fit and secure mounting brackets and equipment hardware.
- Connect and terminate power supplies to installed equipment.
- Troubleshoot basic hardware installation issues with standard tools and equipment.
- Support production-floor installation, integration, and troubleshooting tasks.
- Follow health, safety, and quality procedures during installation work.
- Maintain accurate records in production documentation.
Requirements
- Experience with cable installation, wiring, or electro-mechanical assembly; automotive, defence, aerospace, or similar production experience is preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and installation drawings, and troubleshoot basic hardware issues.
- Comfort working in confined and enclosed vehicle spaces; physical fitness and good general health are required for safe access and work.
- Willingness to work flexibly across the production floor, with good manual dexterity and attention to detail.
