Role overview

Responsibilities

• Research, design, and lead development of a shared data platform adaptable across products and environments.
• Define architecture patterns for data warehouses, data lakes, and data management.
• Architect and guide data pipelines supporting operational, analytical, and AI workloads.
• Establish architecture standards and schema management for structured, semi-structured, unstructured, time-series, geospatial, and binary data.
• Design for on-premise, air-gapped, disconnected, low-latency, and security-sensitive environments.
• Align technical delivery with strategy and product roadmaps through stakeholder collaboration.
• Provide architectural direction while staying close to implementation.

What you will bring

• At least eight years of professional experience in data engineering, software architecture, or a related discipline.
• Strong expertise in data architecture, platform design, and data management.
• Experience with relational and non-relational databases, distributed processing, messaging and integration patterns, and orchestration tools.
• Experience with data retention, archival, lifecycle management, and long-term stewardship.
• Understanding of governance, security architecture, access controls, auditing, and compliance.
• Master’s degree or equivalent qualification in computer science or a related field.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, debugging, and stakeholder communication skills.
• Flexible, practical approach suited to changing, high-pressure projects.
• Upper-intermediate or higher written and spoken English.
