Role overview

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate consolidated templates, in-source models, and trade models for data centers using Revit and Navisworks.
• Update models, studies, and construction documents, and help maintain BIM templates and standards.
• Audit project deliverables, monitor quality, and lead design coordination meetings for clash detection and resolution.
• Support information exchange, construction-phase information requests, and concurrent projects in multiple geographic locations.
• Record key metrics and report them to management.
• Travel to data center sites for engineering evaluations and surveys approximately once or twice annually as required.

Day-to-day design work

• Collaborate across disciplines and teams to refine data center designs.
• Create detailed models, drawings, specifications, and prototypes while communicating building design changes to managers and leaders.
• Review feedback from peers and collaborators and adjust designs to meet efficiency and quality standards.

Basic qualifications

• Experience with the design, construction, operation, or maintenance of mission-critical facilities, especially data centers.
• Bachelor's degree in construction management, architecture, structural, civil, mechanical, or electrical engineering.
• At least 2 years of Autodesk Revit and BIM coordination experience.
• At least 3 years of experience producing construction drawings for mission-critical facilities.
• Experience with Navisworks.
• Experience with Autodesk Forma or Autodesk Construction Cloud.

Preferred qualifications

• Knowledge of regional building codes and regulations.
• Knowledge of commercial or industrial power systems or mechanical systems.
• Experience carrying design concepts through exploration, development, and deployment or mass production.
• Experience using web-based and other software tools for calculation and data processing.

Compensation

• The Seattle base salary range is USD 96,600 to USD 160,000 annually.
• Amazon states that total compensation may include sign-on payments and restricted stock units, with final compensation based on experience, qualifications, and location.
