Amazon Financial Technology seeks a software development engineer to build globally scalable financial systems and services.
The work supports global financial transactions and account receivables cash applications, using cloud services and emerging AI capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Build financial application services and integrations using native AWS services, machine learning, and generative AI.
- Design and develop system integration patterns.
- Integrate Amazon tools and technologies to reduce operational costs and improve customer experience.
- Collaborate with engineers, program managers, ML scientists, product managers, analysts, and customers to understand features and identify software opportunities.
- Design, implement, and test scalable AWS solutions in agile projects; own systems end to end.
Basic qualifications
- At least five years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- At least five years designing or architecting new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- Programming experience with at least one software language.
- At least five years of full-stack development experience.
Preferred qualifications
- At least five years of full software development life-cycle experience covering coding standards, reviews, source control, builds, testing, and operations.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
