Role overview
The Transport Coordinator joins the Milton Keynes team and supports day-to-day transport operations alongside the Transport Shift Manager.
The role is a key contact for approximately 25 drivers on a typical day and has no direct line-management responsibility.
What you'll do
- Brief and debrief drivers, answer questions and build positive working relationships.
- Monitor routes and delivery progress, identify delays, escalate issues and help resolve operational challenges while maintaining customer service.
- Support safe and compliant operations, including legal and Operator Licence requirements.
- Complete transport administration, maintain records and support driver schedules, working time and exceptions using operational systems.
- Assist with payroll-related administration, holidays and queries; communicate across teams and support effective handovers.
- Support service, cost and delivery targets and help manage busy periods and changing demand.
Candidate requirements
- Previous transport experience is beneficial but not essential.
- Strong organisation, communication and problem-solving skills are sought.
- Candidates should be comfortable in a fast-paced operational environment, balancing tasks and communicating confidently with drivers.
Salary and benefits
- Salary is up to £31,820 per annum.

Working pattern
- Working pattern is 6am–6pm, four days on and four days off.
