The role calls for an experienced, safety-conscious operator who can work under pressure while maintaining safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Operate crane equipment safely and efficiently to lift and move materials at the job site.
- Conduct daily pre-operational checks and routine inspections of cranes and associated equipment.
- Follow lift plans, signals, and instructions from riggers and site supervisors.
- Observe load limits and maintain control of loads during operation.
- Report equipment malfunctions, maintenance needs, and safety issues promptly to the supervisor.
- Coordinate lifts with riggers, signalmen, and ground staff.
- Follow safety protocols and comply with company and regulatory requirements.
- Keep the work area, crane cab, and controls clean and organized.
- Participate in toolbox talks and safety meetings as required.
Requirements
- A valid crane operator licence or certification in accordance with local regulations is required.
- A minimum of 2–5 years of experience operating tower cranes or mobile cranes on construction sites is required.
- Strong understanding of load charts, lift capacity, and crane signals is required.
- Good communication and coordination skills are required.
- Physical fitness and the ability to work at heights and in varying weather conditions are required.
- A strong safety focus and attention to detail are required.
Workplace
- Work is in person at construction sites.
