About the Role
The Third Commis is responsible for execution of assigned work to provide and accommodate all daily food products as per specifications and menu.
Assists seniors with hygiene standards and documentation for all mise en place and meals.
Facilitates proper cleanliness in all work, storage space, and refrigeration areas.
Key Duties
- Prepare food in a fast and efficient manner.
- Collect all task information and direction from manager on duty at the start of the shift.
- Assist the section Chef to complete all assigned tasks.
- Complete all food mise en place and ingredients to be ready for Chefs before cooking.
- Ensure mise en place is carried out as per standard recipe specifications.
- Assist in facilitating hygiene and grooming standards and ensuring they are followed.
- Assist the supervisor in ensuring basic food safety standards are followed.
- Assist the supervisor to follow FIFO procedures for food handling of raw materials and processed food.
- Follow instructions of Chefs to help in smooth operation.
- Cut and prepare vegetables and raw ingredients required by the hot kitchen as per batch-wise requirements.
- Assist in preparing red meats, poultry, and seafood items required by the kitchen section.
- Assist in monitoring raw material requirements and usage used in the section throughout the shift.
About You
- High school qualification.
- Up to 2 years' experience.

- Reading and writing skills.
- English communication skills.
