Maintenance Supervisor - Residential

About the role

Specific Responsibilities

• Make periodic inspections of assigned facilities, prepare inspection reports, diagnose problems, and initiate action to optimize lifespan and operational reliability.
• Follow up on pending appliance maintenance requests and update the system with the latest comments and feedback from the on-site maintenance team.
• Inspect completed appliance maintenance works, assure work is completed per scope, and sign off on completion certificates.
• Prepare and follow up on the PAT (Portable Appliance Testing) testing schedule.
• Respond to emergency situations or major issues on a 24/7 basis.
• Administer the work of contracted staff on projects, including assigning work and reviewing and evaluating work in progress.
• Review service requests, determine whether problems can be resolved in-house, set priorities and timelines, communicate them to customers, and execute the job.
• Plan labor and material needs for appliance maintenance and repair jobs and provide input on required materials.
• Maintain daily records regarding manpower, materials, handy stock, tools, and equipment usage.
• Perform other department duties as directed by the Head of the Department.

About You

• Bachelor's Degree/Diploma or equivalent with minimum 5 years of job-related experience.
• Experience working in Hotel/Hospitality/Facilities Management.
• Demonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritize.
• Excellent communication skills in spoken and written English and handling customers in a polite and patient manner.
• Excellent knowledge of kitchen appliance repair and maintenance.
• Valid Qatari or a transferable driving license.
• People management and basic leadership skills.
• Strong knowledge of MS Office and should be IT knowledgeable.
