The role prepares telecommunications engineering activities and deliverables for projects.
Functions and responsibilities
- Define system philosophies and specifications for process CCTV, PAGA, TETRA/UHF/VHF radio, VoIP, LAN, Wi-Fi, security CCTV, access control, BMS, outside plant cabling, structured cabling, and related telecom systems.
- Establish telecommunications system architectures and block diagrams.
- Develop basic and detailed designs, including layouts, cable routings, cable lists, and equipment lists.
- Prepare requisitions and technical bid tabulations for telecom equipment and cables.
- Manage technical matters and follow up orders with vendors, system integrators, and subcontractors.
- Provide construction and site support.
Requirements
- Senior Telecommunications Engineer with a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
- At least 7 years of experience performing the described functions.
- Oil & Gas project experience, particularly EPC and/or FEED projects.
- ADNOC project experience, site work experience, and site survey experience are highly valued.
- Availability to travel and work at site when required.
Workplace
- The role includes construction and site support and may require travel and work at site.
