Mandatory Registration and Requirements
- Applicants must currently hold Qatar MMUP/UPDA Grade A certification or registration and residency; applications that do not meet this requirement will not be considered.
- Minimum 12–15 years of relevant engineering experience, including substantial Qatar/GCC experience.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering in the relevant discipline; strong relevant engineering and project experience.
- Good knowledge of Qatar engineering standards, regulations, and project requirements; strong communication, coordination, and technical skills.
- Previous experience on major projects in Qatar is highly preferred.
Technical Functions
- Collaborate with team members and analyze and implement contractual documentation and applicable standards.
- Develop sizing studies, technical specifications, requisitions, material take-offs, and technical bid evaluations for assigned electrical equipment and materials.
- Follow up purchase orders to meet milestones for information and equipment delivery.
- Coordinate information and requirements with purchasing, inspection, projects, and related disciplines.
- Supervise and participate in team work under the Electrical Team Leader; use SmartPlant Materials (Marian), Documentum, VDDR, and IAP properly.
Proposal and Design Support
- Support proposal development by collaborating on cost estimation and preparing material take-offs for equipment and material installations.
- Prepare deviations and clarification lists.
- Collaborate with the Team Leader on team integration, report work-performance difficulties, and share information to support project performance.
