Technology Senior Expert - CCGT Assets

Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day CCGT operations for reliability, efficiency and alignment with corporate quality guidelines.
• Develop technical strategies to maximize asset output and integrate advanced management technologies.
• Supervise maintenance programmes to minimize downtime, address performance deficiencies and extend asset life cycles.
• Ensure compliance with local and international regulations, industry standards and environmental practices.
• Build relationships with regulators, government bodies, industry leaders and technology providers.
• Conduct root cause analysis on performance gaps and develop plans to improve efficiency and financial returns.
• Cascade divisional strategies into sectional business plans, manage budgets and monitor financial performance.
• Lead talent development and sectional people management, set performance objectives and motivate technical teams.

Qualifications and Experience

• A bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Finance or Business Administration is mandatory; an MBA is highly preferred.
• At least 10 years of experience in similar asset-management roles within large corporate structures.
• At least 4 years of progressively increasing managerial and leadership responsibilities.
• Deep technical and commercial understanding of power, energy and water sectors, including CCGT trends and key industry players.
• Expertise in root cause analysis, strategic financial planning, and contractual and regulatory oversight.
• Strong collaboration, negotiation and conflict-resolution skills for working with senior executives and international investors.
• English proficiency is mandatory; Arabic is a plus.
• Comprehensive understanding of Qatar and GCC business culture and operating environments.
