Otis seeks a Technical Support Engineer to support release of modernization elevator projects for manufacturing.
The role reviews technical requirements and coordinates with Sales, Field Operations, Engineering, and Factory teams.
The position is located at Otis L.L.C. in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
Key responsibilities
- Review modernization elevator projects and prepare them for Release for Manufacturing.
- Verify specifications, layouts, and configurations against customer requirements and company standards.
- Coordinate resolution of technical and commercial issues, monitor milestones, and ensure timely order release.
- Track documentation, deviations, approvals, and design changes; answer factory inquiries.
- Identify risks and manufacturing issues, drive corrective action, and keep stakeholders informed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- At least 3 years of elevator industry experience; modernization, engineering, manufacturing, or project coordination experience is preferred.
- Understanding of elevator systems, components, layouts, and installation requirements; ability to read technical drawings and engineering documents.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD to review and modify elevator layouts and engineering drawings.
Skills and preferred qualifications
- Organization, time management, project coordination, communication, stakeholder management, problem-solving, and analytical skills are required.
- Ability to work across functions and manage multiple priorities is required.
- Elevator modernization and manufacturing release experience are preferred.
- ERP, order management, or engineering management system familiarity is preferred; elevator standards and codes knowledge is advantageous.
