Senior Project Engineer

Role overview

Pre-installation and coordination

• Confirm contractual scope and delivery information; plan material deliveries with the factory and supply chain.
• Monitor shaft readiness and dimensions against approved shop drawings and plan resources for project requirements.
• Arrange subcontractor and local-material purchase orders with the Project Manager and supply chain.
• Coordinate shop drawings, technical submittals, material samples, method statements, and inspection and test plan approvals with contractors, architects, and consultants.
• Plan safe, timely logistics for elevator and escalator deliveries, submit required reports, and attend contractor meetings.
• Advise the main contractor of scope deviations and raise variation orders; coordinate elevator interfaces with low-voltage devices.

Installation and handover

• Ensure installation resources and certified tools are available; raise material inspection requests and maintain project records.
• Track progress using MS Project, Primavera, or spreadsheets; follow up missing, short-shipped, or defective materials.
• Plan risk assessments for hoisting, rigging, and other critical activities; conduct toolbox talks and ensure safety procedures are followed.
• Coordinate supply chain, installation support, in-stage QA/QC, testing and commissioning, and third-party inspections.
• Ensure low-voltage interfaces, construction-time usage readiness, interim payment applications, and customer handover are completed on time.

Project management

• Coordinate project delivery with local engineering, factory, supply chain, and finance teams.
• Manage project budgets and prepare and present cost reviews to finance and management.

Minimum qualifications

• At least 5 years of elevator-industry experience.
• Fluency in English and Arabic.
• Ability to work in a team-oriented, dynamic environment and communicate effectively with internal and external customers.
• Self-motivated, able to manage simultaneous projects and responsibilities.
• Comfortable using Microsoft-based computer software in a technical environment.

Preferred qualification

• Saudi national status is preferred.

Location and site work

• The listed role location is Otis Elevator Company Saudi Arabia Ltd in Riyadh.
• The role includes elevator installation project coordination and progress monitoring at project sites.
