About This Role
Overview
The Technical Support is responsible for providing technical support related to system configuration, computer networks, servers, and IT infrastructure.
The role involves troubleshooting technical issues, maintaining system performance, supporting network operations, and ensuring the smooth functionality of servers, systems, and related technologies within the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Configure, install, and maintain computer systems, servers, and network infrastructure.
- Provide technical support for hardware, software, network, and server-related issues.
- Monitor and maintain LAN/WAN networks, internet connectivity, and network security.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot Windows/Linux servers and related services.
- Support Active Directory, user accounts, email systems, and access permissions.
- Perform system upgrades, software installations, backups, and preventive maintenance.
- Troubleshoot network issues including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPN connections.
- Monitor server performance and ensure system availability and reliability.
- Coordinate with vendors and service providers for technical support and maintenance.
- Maintain IT documentation, network diagrams, system configurations, and support logs.
- Ensure data security, backup procedures, and compliance with IT policies.
- Provide technical assistance to end-users and internal departments.
- Support remote access systems and cloud-based services when required.
- Escalate major technical concerns to senior IT management when necessary.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, Network Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in technical support, network administration, or server management.
- Strong knowledge of system configuration, computer networks, and server administration.
- Experience with Windows Server, Linux Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and virtualization technologies.
- Familiarity with routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and network troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of network security, backup systems, and disaster recovery processes.
- Experience with cloud services and remote support tools is an advantage.
- Good analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and technical documentation skills.
- UAE experience is an advantage.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Up to AED3,500.00 per month
