Role and platform

Dubai-based Technical Product Manager / Delivery Lead role for a governed digital and AI platform.

The platform consolidates AI and digital products into a shared technical spine, controlled release path, and clear boundaries between core products, modules, and experimental work.

The role combines technical product management and delivery leadership; it owns technical direction, production delivery, and the engineering team. It is hands-on, not solely a coordination role.

Reports to the Head of Strategic Transformation and leads a platform engineering team including AI engineers, a data engineer, and a graduate developer.

Platform architecture and governance

  • Own shared solution architecture for authentication, APIs, design system, and data schema, with isolation boundaries to protect the platform from module failures.
  • Define and enforce interface contracts for separately built modules before they enter shared environments.
  • Keep repository, naming, and URL conventions consistent across the platform.
  • Ensure capabilities supporting live client work are auditable, access-controlled, and defensible.

Release, integration, and delivery

  • Run Development, UAT, and Production promotion with defined gates so production releases are reviewed.
  • Manage batched core releases and land externally built modules behind feature flags.
  • Migrate the platform from local development to the managed environment and maintain an automated, repeatable deployment pipeline.
  • Onboard modules through contract compliance, integration testing, and graduation gates while protecting the core release cycle.
  • Own the technical roadmap, sequence and deliver capabilities, and decide what becomes a core release, integrated module, or retired experiment.

Team leadership

  • Line-manage the engineering team, set sprint cadence, review architecture and code, uphold quality and security standards, and develop the team as it grows.
  • Remain technical enough to work in the codebase, make architecture decisions, and unblock the team directly.
  • Serve as the technical counterpart to module product managers, maintain the interface contract, and determine where new work belongs.

Essential experience

  • At least 8 years in software delivery, including at least 4 years leading engineering or technical product teams that shipped and operated production systems.
  • Proven ownership of a multi-environment Development, UAT, and Production lifecycle, CI/CD, feature flagging, and release governance on a live product.
  • Hands-on engineering background: able to read and review code, reason about API and data-schema design, and make architecture decisions.
  • Direct line management of developers, including setting standards and running delivery cadence.
  • Experience integrating independently built modules into a shared platform using interface contracts, versioning, and isolation.

Technical competencies

  • Modern web application architecture, API design, and data modelling.
  • Cloud deployment and environment management; infrastructure-as-code and pipeline automation are an advantage.
  • Working fluency with AI-assisted development tooling, including Claude Code, and comfort with LLM-backed application stacks, model routing, prompting, and guardrails.
  • Version control, branching strategy, and code review at team scale.

Desirable experience

  • Exposure to the architecture, engineering, and construction sector or a computational design background.
  • Experience deploying enterprise AI under governance, audit, or regulatory constraints.
  • Experience establishing canonical project and configuration conventions across multiple repositories.

First-year outcomes

The platform is migrated to the managed environment with a documented, repeatable deployment pipeline.

The interface contract is published and new modules onboard through it without destabilising the core platform.

Development, UAT, and Production promotion gates operate with no unreviewed production releases.

The engineering team runs a predictable release cadence and new technical hires become productive.

Agreed module deliveries are integrated on schedule against the roadmap.

Location and scope

  • The description states Dubai, UAE; it does not specify an attendance or remote-work policy.
  • Product prioritisation and stakeholder alignment are included, but core accountability is technical: architecture, deployment, governance, and delivery-team leadership.
