Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Abu Dhabi for a Technical Office Engineer focused on villa projects.

The role involves preparing, reviewing, and coordinating shop drawings to ensure alignment with project specifications, design intent, and relevant codes.

The Technical Office Engineer will support quantity take-offs and BOQ preparation, assist with tender documentation, and help verify subcontractor and supplier quantities.

Daily tasks include coordinating with site teams and design consultants, resolving technical issues, and updating drawings and documents to reflect approved changes.

The engineer will also collaborate with civil and electrical engineering teams to integrate multidisciplinary inputs, maintain organized project records, and support timely project delivery.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess strong technical skills in Shop Drawings, including preparation, review, and coordination with design and site teams.
  • Candidates should possess practical experience with BOQ development, quantity take-offs, and cost-related documentation.
  • Candidates should possess a solid foundation in Civil Engineering, with knowledge of structural and architectural aspects of villa construction.
  • Candidates should possess working knowledge of Electrical Engineering concepts relevant to building services and villa projects.
  • Candidates should possess skills in Quantity Surveying, including measurement, valuation, and verification of quantities for contracts and variations.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or closely related discipline; professional certifications or memberships in relevant engineering bodies are an advantage.
  • Experience in villa or building projects in the UAE or GCC region, including familiarity with local standards, regulations, and authority requirements.
  • Proficiency in engineering and drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit or similar), and strong MS Office skills, particularly Excel.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and a structured approach to documentation and reporting.
  • Effective communication and coordination skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and support project deadlines.
