Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Abu Dhabi for a Construction Manager / Project Engineer / Site Agent specializing in Landscape and Irrigation (mandatory).
The role involves overseeing day-to-day construction activities for landscaping and irrigation projects, ensuring work is executed in line with approved designs, technical specifications, and project schedules.
The professional will coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams, manage site resources, and monitor progress to achieve milestones and deliverables.
Responsibilities include supervising site staff and workforce, enforcing construction safety standards, and ensuring compliance with WBG’s quality and environmental procedures.
The role also requires managing project documentation, tracking quantities and costs, participating in budgeting and project control activities, and providing regular reports to senior management.
Qualifications
- Strong construction and site management capabilities, with hands-on experience in landscape and irrigation works.
- Supervisory skills to lead site teams, coordinate subcontractors, and manage daily activities effectively.
- Proficiency in project control and budgeting, including monitoring costs, resources, timelines, and progress reporting.
- Knowledge of construction safety practices and the ability to implement and enforce HSE standards on site.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Landscaping, Irrigation Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Previous experience in similar roles within infrastructure, landscaping, or utilities projects in the GCC region is an advantage.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and technical documents related to landscape and irrigation systems.
- Strong communication and coordination skills, with the ability to work in a multidisciplinary, multicultural environment.
- Proficiency in basic construction-related software and MS Office for reporting and documentation.
- Commitment to quality, environmental management, and occupational health and safety aligned with ISO standards.
