Role overview

Technical and engineering leadership

• Lead the technical department, including design coordination, engineering, BIM, and technical office teams.
• Review architectural, structural, MEP, and specialist subcontractor designs for coordination and compliance.
• Review IFC and shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, and technical proposals.
• Identify clashes and constructability concerns, resolve technical challenges, and manage consultant responses to RFIs and technical queries.

Design and project delivery

• Lead multidisciplinary design coordination and manage design quality, compliance, constructability, progress, changes, and risks.
• Support project teams through planning, execution, procurement, and handover; coordinate design with project and construction managers.
• Lead value engineering to optimize cost, quality, and delivery; recommend alternative materials, systems, and methods.
• Act as the technical interface with clients, consultants, contractors, authorities, and internal teams; support timely approvals.
• Monitor technical risks, support quality assurance and technical audits, and promote engineering and construction best practices.

Qualifications and experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture; a master’s degree is preferred.
• At least 17 years of engineering and construction experience, including at least five years in senior technical leadership at a leading contracting company.
• Strong experience delivering luxury villas, high-end residential communities, residential towers, mixed-use developments, and Design & Build projects.
• Extensive UAE/GCC experience; strong understanding of architectural, structural, and MEP coordination, construction methods, and buildability.
• Strong knowledge of UAE authorities, codes, regulations, and approval processes; experience with BIM, engineering management systems, and digital construction tools.
• Professional Engineering certification is an advantage.
