HSE Engineer role with Nova International General Contracting, a UAE construction contractor focused on branded residences.
Responsibilities
- Implement and monitor the Project HSE Plan and company HSE requirements.
- Review MSRA and PTW requirements for high-risk activities.
- Conduct inspections and audits and close HSE observations promptly.
- Monitor subcontractor HSE compliance and coordinate project safety requirements.
- Support incident investigations, reporting, and corrective and preventive actions.
- Prepare HSE reports, statistics, and performance records.
Qualifications and experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a relevant technical discipline and NEBOSH IGC or equivalent recognized HSE qualification.
- At least five years of HSE experience, including strong UAE construction experience.
- High-rise or multi-storey construction project experience in Abu Dhabi or Dubai is essential.
- Knowledge of Abu Dhabi HSE requirements and ADOSH-SF.
- Technical knowledge covering work at height, scaffolding, lifting, tower cranes, temporary works, formwork, concrete, MEP, and construction logistics.
- Experience reviewing MSRA, JSA, and PTW requirements and handling investigations, audits, subcontractor monitoring, and corrective actions.
- Strong communication, reporting, and coordination skills. UAE-based candidates are preferred.
