Technical Lead — Health Data Infrastructure

Synapse IZ is building the chronic disease intervention infrastructure for Saudi Arabia — sitting downstream of the Taakkad national screening programme and converting risk flags into structured, AI-supported interventions with measurable outcomes.
We are hiring our first technical hire.
This is a ground-up build at the intersection of AI, health data, and national health infrastructure.
What you will build:
— Risk scoring engine that processes Taakkad screening outputs — AI agent pipeline: result in → protocol generated → physician review — PDPL-compliant backend on Google Cloud Dammam (me-central2) — ALLaM integration for Arabic patient communication — FHIR-compliant data structures for health record interoperability — Background monitoring system: compliance tracking, alerts, escalation logic
What we are looking for:
— KSA-based (required for PDPL compliance and institutional proximity) — 3+ years backend or full-stack engineering, with production systems shipped — Strong in: Python / AI-ML, database architecture, cloud infrastructure, API integrations — Experience with PDPL, FHIR, or health data standards is a significant advantage — Bilingual Arabic/English preferred — Comfortable at early stage — you are building something that does not exist yet
