Role summary

The employer seeks an experienced Technical Lead – DevSecOps to lead secure, scalable Kubernetes infrastructure design, implementation, automation, and operations.

The role drives DevSecOps practices, platform reliability, automation, and secure container orchestration in enterprise environments.

Location and contract

  • The stated job location is Abu Dhabi, UAE.
  • Contract duration is 12+ months.

Required technical skills

  • Kubernetes administration, architecture, troubleshooting, and production operations; Rancher management; RKE2 installation, configuration, upgrades, and troubleshooting.
  • NVIDIA GPU Operator deployment and management, preferably on RKE2.
  • CI/CD tools may include Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
  • GitOps principles and tools such as Argo CD or Flux.
  • Istio configuration for traffic routing, mTLS, security policies, and observability.
  • Docker, containerd, Kubernetes networking, and scripting with Python, Bash, or similar languages.
  • DevSecOps practices, container security, vulnerability scanning, infrastructure security, and monitoring/logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and EFK/ELK.
  • Linux administration, networking, DNS, ingress controllers, storage, and TLS certificates.

Qualifications and experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Significant hands-on experience in DevOps, DevSecOps, Kubernetes engineering, or platform engineering.
  • Prior experience leading technical teams or driving complex infrastructure implementations.
  • Experience supporting production-grade Kubernetes environments and resolving complex technical issues.
  • CKA, CKS, or CKAD certifications are an advantage.

Shortlisting focus

  • Prioritize hands-on investigation and resolution of complex cluster, pod, networking, storage, and workload problems.
  • Prioritize practical Rancher and RKE2 setup and operations experience.
  • Prioritize NVIDIA GPU Operator deployment and troubleshooting on RKE2 or comparable Kubernetes environments.
  • Prioritize automated deployment pipelines, GitOps workflows, and hands-on Istio service-mesh configuration and troubleshooting.
