Hiring a Technical Engineer focused on quantity surveying, procurement, and tendering for construction work.
The posting requests at least 7 years of UAE construction industry experience and immediate availability.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare quantity take-offs, BOQs, material calculations, cost estimates, and rate analyses.
- Review architectural, structural, and civil drawings, specifications, and BOQs; identify discrepancies and prepare RFIs or clarifications when needed.
- Prepare tender documents, quotations, cost summaries, and commercial comparisons.
- Handle supplier and subcontractor procurement, including RFQs, quotation evaluations, comparison sheets, and scope reviews.
- Monitor project quantities, costs, variations, additional works, and subcontractor payment applications.
- Draft and review subcontract agreements, contractual correspondence, and commercial documentation.
- Coordinate technical and commercial matters with project managers, site teams, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and authorities.
- Maintain records of drawings, BOQs, quotations, contracts, payments, variations, NOCs, and project correspondence.
Qualifications and experience
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
- At least 7 years of UAE construction experience, particularly in QS, estimation, procurement, tendering, or technical office work.
- Strong understanding of construction drawings, BOQs, specifications, materials, and quantity calculations.
- Good knowledge of supplier and subcontractor quotations, variations, payments, and commercial documentation.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel, and MS Office; PlanSwift or similar quantity take-off software is an advantage.
- Strong numerical, analytical, organizational, communication, and coordination skills.
- Must be available for immediate joining.
