Electrical Engineer

Role overview

Design and project delivery

• Design and implement power distribution, lighting, and control systems; prepare designs, specifications, drawings, and calculations.
• Conduct feasibility studies and technical evaluations.
• Manage electrical works from planning and execution through testing and commissioning.
• Coordinate contractors, vendors, consultants, stakeholders, and other engineering disciplines; support delivery to schedule, budget, and quality standards.

Site, technical, and compliance duties

• Inspect site work for compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and standards; supervise testing and commissioning.
• Troubleshoot site issues and electrical faults; ensure systems operate safely, reliably, and efficiently, and develop maintenance plans.
• Prepare and review engineering calculations, material submittals, shop drawings, drawings, and technical documentation.
• Coordinate DEWA submissions and approvals; maintain knowledge of DEWA, DCD, and Etisalat requirements.
• Ensure compliance with UAE regulations, electrical codes, safety requirements, and project specifications; keep current with standards changes.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary work and develop electrical engineering standards and best practices.

Qualifications and experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 4–5 years of electrical engineering experience in the UAE; high-rise building experience is preferred.
• Proven experience in large-scale construction projects and strong knowledge of electrical engineering, site execution, and project coordination.
• In-depth knowledge of DEWA, DCD, and Etisalat regulations and approval procedures.
• Proficiency in electrical design software such as AutoCAD, ETAP, or SKM Power Tools.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and coordination skills; immediate availability to join is required.
