Position overview

Evaluate system resilience and verify performance for the strategic deterrence mission through rigorous quantitative analysis.

Work in the System Realization and Resilience Group in the Force Projection Sector.

Use analytical modeling and experimental validation to inform development and verification of strategic systems.

Responsibilities

  • Integrate physics-based and statistical models in a digital engineering framework to analyze system behavior, design margins, and empirical test data.
  • Analyze designs and experimental and test data from multiple systems and subsystems.
  • Identify design risks, possible performance anomalies, uncertainty, and gaps in model representations from test and design-characterization results.
  • Assess environmental variation and component degradation through trade studies and sensitivity analysis.
  • Map mathematical proofs and verification criteria to system architecture using Cameo Enterprise Architect / MagicDraw.

Minimum qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Physics, Applied Mathematics, or an engineering discipline focused substantially on mathematical modeling and experimental data analysis.
  • At least 2 years of quantitative analysis, physics-based simulation, statistical evaluation, or test data reduction experience.
  • Ability to develop analytical tools, evaluate experimental datasets, and determine statistical confidence intervals.
  • Working knowledge of systems engineering verification and validation and practical exposure to MBSE tools such as Cameo Enterprise Architect / MagicDraw.
  • Willing and able to travel periodically, approximately 5–10%, to government test ranges, sponsor facilities, and laboratory partner sites.
  • Active Secret clearance and ability to obtain TS/SCI; U.S. citizenship is an eligibility requirement for classified access.

Preferred qualifications

At least 5 years of relevant quantitative analysis, simulation, statistical evaluation, or test data reduction experience is preferred.

An MS in Physics, Applied Mathematics, or a related discipline with demonstrated modeling, simulation, or physical testing output is preferred.

Active Top Secret or TS/SCI clearance is preferred.

Experience with weapon system dynamics, telemetry distributions, or nuclear command and control surety mechanisms is preferred.

Experience integrating quantitative models with SysML architectures in Cameo is preferred.
