Role overview

Help turn concepts into capabilities addressing integrated defense problems.

The team is seeking systems engineers to conceive, define, and evaluate system-of-systems requirements for operational applications.

Apply modeling, simulation, and analytical tools to assess sensor, network, combat system, and missile performance.

Responsibilities

  • Lead analysis studies through problem formulation, simulation setup and execution, and rigorous results analysis.
  • Build and refine complex mission models using constructive modeling and simulation techniques, including tools such as AFSIM.
  • Analyze defensive kill chains to support mission effectiveness and decision-making.
  • Translate simulation data into actionable insights through technical reports and presentations to stakeholders and sponsors.

Minimum qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in systems engineering, computer science, software engineering, computer engineering, engineering, physics, mathematics, or another related technical field.
  • At least 3 years of professional systems analysis experience focused on modeling and simulation.
  • Experience applying constructive modeling and simulation techniques.
  • Strong speaking and writing skills; ability to organize, collaborate, and coordinate work across concurrent projects.
  • Willingness and ability to travel periodically to sponsor offices and supporting contractor sites.
  • Ability to obtain an Interim Secret clearance by the start date and ultimately a TS/SCI clearance; classified access eligibility includes U.S. citizenship.

Preferred qualifications

  • An MS in engineering or a closely related field.
  • Experience conducting analysis studies from problem formulation through results analysis and presenting and justifying findings.
  • Experience with AFSIM and related mission simulation tools, computing grids, and DoW air and missile defense kill chains and analysis.
