Role overview

Experienced electronic warfare professional supporting evaluation of future capabilities and their impact on air combat and precision strike missions.

The role applies operational judgment to modeling, simulation, and analysis; prior modeling and simulation analyst experience is not expected, and the team will teach its tools and methods.

The team includes more than 50 computer scientists and analysts conducting mission-level analysis to inform acquisition decisions on precision strike technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Apply operational electronic warfare experience to mission-level analysis of advanced air combat and precision strike systems.
  • Develop scenarios, mission vignettes, concepts of employment, tactics, and effectiveness measures for electronic attack, electronic protection, sensing, communications, countermeasures, and related systems.
  • Assess effects on mission effectiveness, survivability, targeting, command and control, and contested force employment.
  • Collaborate with analysts, software developers, engineers, military operators, program offices, and decision-makers.
  • Learn and use modeling and simulation tools to assess electronic warfare effects.
  • Interpret simulation results, identify meaningful insights and limitations, and brief technical and non-technical audiences.

Minimum qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in any field, or equivalent military or professional experience relevant to the role.
  • Operational experience planning, employing, evaluating, testing, or defending against electronic warfare capabilities in military operations.
  • Ability to communicate complex operational concepts clearly with technical teams, government civilians, military officers, and partners.
  • Comfort learning quantitative methods, modeling and simulation, data analysis, scripting, or scientific computing workflows.
  • Ability to obtain required Special Access Program access and an Interim Secret clearance by the start date, and ultimately obtain Top Secret/SCI clearance.
  • Must meet classified information access eligibility requirements, including U.S. citizenship.

Preferred qualifications

  • Relevant experience may include electronic warfare officer, electronic attack aircrew, signals intelligence, electromagnetic spectrum operations planning, operational testing, tactics instruction, or mission command.
  • Experience with electronic attack or protection, radar, communications, countermeasures, survivability, sensing, targeting, or integrated air defense.
  • Experience with modeling, simulation, operations research, mission analysis, data analysis, scripting, AFSIM, Brawler, or Suppressor.
  • Experience leading or mentoring teams, instructing operational concepts, or developing operational judgment.
  • Active Secret or higher-level security clearance.
