Role purpose

Responsibilities

• Define functional architecture and system breakdown structure to ensure engine and propulsion-subsystem performance compliance.
• Define MBSE methodologies and the tool suite for the Turbofan team.
• Allocate and manage system-level requirements.
• Lead trade-offs among performance, cost, weight, and durability.
• Manage and maintain interface control documents (ICDs and FICDs).
• Maintain architectural consistency across development phases and interfaces with Product Management, Module Managers, Certification and Safety engineers, and Integration and Test teams.

Basic qualifications

• At least 8 years of experience in turbofan propulsion, aerospace, or other complex engineered systems.
• Understand turbofan architectures, test plan validation, engine performance, engine build-up and dressing, AGB, ECU, engine modules, subsystems, and integration constraints.
• Strong knowledge of systems engineering, MBSE, SysML, V-Cycle, functional decomposition, methodologies, and standards.
• Knowledge of certification schemes such as CS-E and safety principles such as FHA and PSSA.
• Exposure to customers, OEMs, authorities, and complex environments.

Preferred qualifications

• Detail orientation and macro-level perspective; ability to anticipate impacts and arbitrate trade-offs.
• Ability to structure complex information into actionable product decisions under pressure.
• Ability to work across multicultural engineering, manufacturing, supply-chain, and commercial teams.
• Strong communication and synthesis skills and a collaborative approach.
