EDGE is hiring a hands-on, safety-focused Facility Technician for its General Services team in Abu Dhabi.
The role supports day-to-day maintenance and operation of company facilities and equipment.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and general facility repairs.
- Carry out minor electrical repairs, basic plumbing, and building maintenance; monitor HVAC systems.
- Maintain, clean, and inspect machines and equipment to schedule; identify defects and coordinate corrective work.
- Coordinate specialized maintenance with contractors and service providers, ensuring site safety and access requirements are met.
- Support maintenance planning and facility improvements; coordinate inventory, materials, spare parts, and supplies.
- Keep inspection and maintenance records; report hazards, incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions.
- Use appropriate PPE and follow HSE procedures and safe working practices.
Basic qualifications
- Relevant technical or facilities-related diploma, vocational qualification, or associate degree.
- At least two years of relevant facility maintenance experience and hands-on general building maintenance and minor repairs.
- Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems; understanding of preventive maintenance and routine inspections.
- Ability to safely use basic maintenance tools and equipment; good understanding of workplace health and safety.
- Good English communication skills and basic computer skills, including MS Office.
Preferred qualifications
- Technical qualification in Electrical, Mechanical, HVAC, Building Maintenance, or a related discipline.
- Experience in an industrial, manufacturing, or large facility environment; contractor coordination experience.
- Experience with preventive-maintenance schedules, facility records, inventory, or spare-parts coordination.
- Familiarity with ERP systems such as Oracle; strong HSE, PPE, and basic risk-assessment knowledge.
