Systems Analyst Intern supporting applications and processes that serve organizational customers, partners, suppliers, and employees.
The role works with business and IT users to understand business and technical processes and deliver system enhancements.
Responsibilities
- Manage incidents, diagnose root causes, and work with the team to resolve issues.
- Complete requests and tasks in supported applications and maintain content standards.
- Coordinate global changes and work with users to maintain assigned systems.
- Act as IT liaison for internal and external contacts regarding assigned systems.
- Contribute to the SDLC and/or Change Approval Board process.
- Analyze, translate, and simplify business requirements into technical and functional requirements.
Education and requirements
- Currently enrolled in a Canadian post-secondary institution pursuing a degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Preference is given to students in their third, fourth, or fifth year of study.
- Knowledge of change management methodology and the Software Development Life Cycle.
- Analytical problem solving, technical writing, and effective communication with technical and non-technical audiences are required.
- Business Analyst Certification is an asset.
