The Systems Analyst Intern supports applications and processes serving the organization’s customers, partners, suppliers, and employees.
The role works with business and IT users to understand system processes and deliver enhancements.
Responsibilities
- Manage content standards and coordinate global changes.
- Maintain supported systems with users and implement system enhancements.
- Diagnose incidents, identify root causes, and work with the team on resolutions.
- Complete application requests and tasks; act as an IT liaison for system-related contacts.
- Contribute to the SDLC and/or Change Approval Board process.
- Translate and simplify business requirements into technical and functional requirements.
Education
- Currently enrolled in a Canadian post-secondary institution and pursuing a Computer Science or related degree.
- Preference is given to students in their third, fourth, or fifth year.
Requirements
- Knowledge of change management methodology and the Software Development Life Cycle.
- Analytical problem-solving ability, technical writing skills, and communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Business Analyst Certification is an asset.
