System Engineer Lead

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end integration architecture for radar, EW, C2, and additional sensors across naval, ground, and airborne/UAS platforms.
• Define and maintain system requirements, functional architecture, ICDs, and technical baselines for platform variants.
• Resolve radar/EW coexistence issues, including spectrum overlap, EMI/EMC, antenna placement, and shared power and cooling.
• Manage interfaces among radar, EW, C2, and other onboard sensors.
• Lead multidisciplinary integration across RF, network/software, C2, and electromechanical disciplines.
• Own integration planning and scheduling, coordinating engineers and installation technicians.
• Lead verification and validation planning, acceptance criteria, FAT, SAT, qualification campaigns, demonstrations, and field trials.
• Lead troubleshooting and root-cause analysis; represent engineering in reviews, customer meetings, demonstrations, and deployments.
• Maintain requirements, architecture, ICDs, verification matrices, test plans, test reports, and technical assessments.

Basic qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Telecommunications, Electronics, Systems, Electrical, Aerospace Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 10+ years in systems engineering or integration of radar, EW, C2, or other mission-critical sensor systems.
• Strong understanding of radar/EW architecture and RF coexistence between co-located sensors and effectors.
• Experience integrating multi-sensor systems on naval, ground-vehicle, or airborne/UAS platforms.
• C2/C4ISR integration experience; familiarity with C2 or comparable defense C2 systems is a strong plus.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary technical teams and driving issues to resolution.
• Experience with requirements engineering, interface management, system-level integration testing, verification, validation, qualification, FAT/SAT, and performance assessment.
• Familiarity with RF/electronic test equipment, including spectrum and network analyzers, oscilloscopes, signal generators, and power meters.
• Experience producing structured engineering and customer-facing technical documentation.
• English proficiency is required unless otherwise stated in the posting.
