Swimming Pool / Plunge Pool Engineer

Role overview

Project delivery

• Prepare schedules, work plans, manpower needs, and resource plans; monitor progress, budgets, and quality.
• Coordinate site activities with architects, designers, consultants, civil and MEP engineers, and other stakeholders.
• Review drawings, BOQs, specifications, and technical documents, and resolve technical issues.
• Supervise excavation, earthworks, structural works, waterproofing, tiling, finishing, coping, equipment installation, and surrounding works.
• Supervise installation and commissioning of pumps, filters, piping, circulation, drainage, lighting, dosing, water treatment, balancing tanks, and hydraulic systems.

Quality, cost, and team coordination

• Ensure works meet approved designs, project standards, and applicable UAE requirements; coordinate inspections and approvals.
• Coordinate waterproofing, hydraulic, and pressure tests; identify quality issues and ensure corrective action.
• Support material take-offs, BOQs, and procurement; monitor material use and costs, and report variations and potential overruns.
• Supervise subcontractors, technicians, workers, and site teams; allocate daily work and monitor productivity.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, suppliers, and vendors; attend meetings and provide progress updates.

Safety, reporting, and handover

• Ensure safe practices, implement company HSE procedures, support risk assessments and toolbox meetings, and ensure workers use appropriate PPE.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports and maintain records of inspections, approvals, tests, deliveries, and site activities.
• Monitor schedules, delays, risks, and pending work; maintain project documentation through final handover.
• Oversee complete pool-system testing and commissioning, defect rectification, snagging, client handover, and initial-operation technical support.

Qualifications and experience

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering field.
• 5–8 years of relevant experience in swimming pool, plunge pool, or water-feature construction.
• Strong UAE swimming pool project experience is preferred.

Technical knowledge

• Strong technical knowledge of swimming pool construction, hydraulic systems, pool MEP, waterproofing, and water treatment systems.
• Knowledge of pumps and filtration, piping and circulation, and chemical dosing systems.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, BOQs, specifications, and technical documents.
