Supply Chain Manager - Global Supply Chain

Role overview

Location and scope

• The stated location is Sharjah, UAE, in SAIF Zone.

Strategy and planning

• Build the global supply-chain strategy, operating framework, processes, systems, controls, and governance.
• Establish KPIs, drive continuous improvement, and provide management with actionable insights, risks, and strategic alternatives.
• Lead material planning; set lead times, safety stocks, reorder levels, and inventory strategies.
• Balance material availability with inventory efficiency and working-capital objectives, and identify shortages or disruptions.

Trade, transportation, and supply network

• Own international import/export and trade-compliance frameworks, including customs, HS classification, permits, certificates, attestations, certifications, and inspections.
• Develop country-specific compliance and documentation matrices and integrate regulatory requirements and lead times into planning.
• Optimize international trade lanes and air, sea, road, and multimodal transportation strategies.
• Identify alternative ports, airports, borders, routes, and supply options to improve resilience.
• Build the international supply network, set partner performance standards, and work with logistics providers, customs brokers, and freight partners.

Cost, risk, and collaboration

• Optimize total landed cost through planning, route selection, inventory management, and transportation mode selection.
• Establish supply-chain risk and business-continuity frameworks; monitor disruptions and develop mitigation plans.
• Collaborate across Sales, Projects, Finance, Warehouse, Operations, Service, Logistics, and Management to translate needs into supply strategies and ensure timely material availability.

Education and experience

• A bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations, Engineering, International Business, Business Administration, or a related discipline is required.
• An MBA or master's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, International Business, or Business Administration is preferred.
• The role requires 10+ years of progressive relevant experience and proven leadership of global supply-chain strategy and operations.
• Strong exposure to international markets and cross-border supply chains is sought.
• Experience in industrial, engineering, energy, oil and gas, marine, infrastructure, manufacturing, or project-based businesses is preferred.

Technical skills and credentials

• Proficiency in SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or a similar ERP system is required.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills are required.
• APICS CSCP/CPIM, CIPS, CILT, FIATA, or equivalent professional certification is an advantage.
