Supervise and coordinate cooks and other kitchen workers at The St. Regis Residence in Doha.
The role is full time and classified as non-management.
Kitchen operations
- Coordinate food preparation, portions, arrangement, garnishes, and decorative food displays.
- Monitor food quantities and communicate menu specials and unavailable items to food and beverage staff.
- Prepare special meals or substitutes and assist cooks and kitchen staff with tasks and supplies.
- Monitor kitchen and food supplies, maintain food safety and product logs, and report products that fail specifications.
Team and service
- Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluation, counseling, discipline, motivation, and coaching.
- Address guest service needs, communicate professionally, and support positive working relationships and team goals.
- Follow company, safety, and security procedures; report maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions.
- Maintain professional appearance, protect confidential information and company assets, and meet quality standards.
Preferred qualifications
- Technical, trade, or vocational school degree preferred.
- Four to six years of related work experience preferred.
- At least two years of supervisory experience preferred.
- No license or certification is specified.
Physical requirements
- The role involves extended periods standing, sitting, or walking; reaching, bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
- Move or carry objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance.
