Supervises recreation activities and supports guest use of recreation facilities at Aloft Hotels in Dubai.
The role is full-time, non-management, and not remote.
Recreation operations
- Create recreation programs and promotional notices using publication software.
- Track supplies, materials, and equipment; report low inventory.
- Encourage, register, and schedule guests for activities; explain available facilities and activities.
- Promote a fun, relaxing guest environment and communicate facility safety rules.
- Monitor recreation activities, respond to emergencies, identify unsafe participation, and notify management.
- Assist injured guests until emergency medical services arrive.
- Clean and maintain recreation equipment and supplies.
Team and workplace duties
- Support management with employee training, motivation, and coaching; serve as a role model and mentor.
- Report accidents, injuries, maintenance concerns, and unsafe conditions; complete safety training and certifications.
- Follow company safety, security, privacy, appearance, and quality standards; support coworkers and shared goals.
- Welcome guests, communicate professionally, answer calls with appropriate etiquette, and complete reasonable assigned duties.
Required qualifications
- CPR certification and first-aid certification are required.
- Recreation equipment and fitness training, plus certifications or training required by local and state agencies, are required.
- The role involves physical activity, including prolonged standing or walking, handling equipment, and navigating stairs and uneven or slippery surfaces.
Desirable qualifications
- Secondary school diploma or GED equivalent is desirable.
- One year of related work experience and one year of supervisory experience are desirable.
