Electrician / Duty Technician role focused on guest repairs and general hotel maintenance.
The role is full time and not remote.
Maintenance and repair duties
- Respond to guest repair requests and communicate to resolve maintenance issues.
- Perform preventive maintenance, inspect tools and equipment, and maintain inventory and requisition supplies.
- Perform painting, minor drywall and wood trim repairs, and replacement of bulbs and A/C filters; clean work areas.
- Troubleshoot and perform basic repairs on equipment, plumbing, electrical components, and guestroom items.
- Program televisions, perform related housekeeping and inventory duties, and update air-handler schedules and temperature settings.
- Use Lockout/Tagout before maintenance; repair landscaping and external sprinklers.
- Report shift activities, problems, hazards, accidents, or injuries; follow safety procedures and store flammable materials properly.
- Provide guest service, protect company assets and confidential information, and work constructively with colleagues.
Required qualification
- A driver’s license is required.
- Ability to move objects up to 50 pounds without assistance and heavier objects with assistance; use stairs, ramps, and ladders.
Preferred qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
- Some experience in general maintenance and interior or exterior surface preparation and painting preferred.
- Hotel engineering or maintenance experience is a plus.
- No supervisory experience is listed.
Relevant maintenance knowledge
- Basic knowledge or ability to acquire knowledge in air conditioning and refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic and electronic controls, carpentry, kitchen equipment, vehicles, energy conservation, or general building maintenance.
- Basic computer skills are listed.
